On Sunday, the NHL Birthday Special at the Montesino entered its grand final. The last 16 players fought for victory and a prize money of € 20,250. The start of the day was very action-packed and after a little more than an hour the final table had already been reached.
But then things calmed down, the remaining players fought hard for every place. The chip lead changed time and time again and it would take a long time until Kristina Brantusa had to say goodbye on place 5.
Four people then discussed a deal, but an agreement could not be reached. Eventually C. P. was caught on place 4, when he failed with J-T on a board of A-J-T to A-T by Markus Loidl.
With the three of them, Imre Kozma was initially the short stack at the table, at times he only had 5 BB left, but he was able to fight back. But in the end it was Harald Tamegger who had to hand over all chips to Markus Loidl in several hands.
In the heads-up, it went back and forth for about 20 minutes before the two players could agree on a deal. The chip leader Markus Loidl was happy about € 18,000 and the trophy, Imre Kozma took home a prize money of € 15,140 as runner-up.
