Yesterday, the Montesino celebrated its 11th birthday. The programme did not only include day 2 of the Birthday Special, but also the NLH Birthday Big Stack, numerous cash game promotions, a raffle and the traditional birthday cake. The Barpros created a great atmosphere with their unique show.
C. P. nabs the chip lead
133 players started in day 2 of the Birthday Special at 3 pm. It was not to be the day of the Big Stacks.
Day 1 chip leader Hao Wu experienced a real roller coaster ride. After losing almost all chips initially, he was able to fight back and even lead the field again, before he fell behind and had to throw in the towel.
Not a lot worked out at the other day 1 Big Stacks either, nobody from the top 5 made it to the final.
After 12 played levels, only 16 players were still in the tournament. Most of the chips could be collected by C. P., in the end, he had 18,450,000 in front of him. Markus Loidl takes the second place of the counts with 16,250,000, ahead of Shubin Dmytro with 16,125,000 chips.
The final starts on Sunday at 2 pm. The blinds start with 150k/300k. All players are ensured € 910, the winner can look forward to € 20,250.
